Ross McIlwain Surpasses Goal for Real Men Wear Pink Campaign

Infinity Marketing is proud to announce Ross McIlwain, Client Services Supervisor, has exceeded his fundraising target in his Real Men Wear Pink campaign, a national initiative held by the American Cancer Society (ACS).

“It was easy to support Ross’s candidacy because we know he is a determined, generous and compassionate person,” said Tim Morrison, EVP of Operations at Infinity and local ACS Board Member. “He truly rallied the entire Infinity team to this cause.”

Throughout the month of October, McIlwain campaigned to raise $2,500. He surpassed this by $333 for a grand total of $2,833. His creative ideas and culinary skill certainly aided him in this process. Donors who contributed $75 or more were eligible to receive a smoked turkey dinner prepared by McIlwain or have their dinner go to Project Host, a local soup kitchen in the Upstate. He ended up delivering roughly 180 pounds of food.

“We all know someone who has been affected by cancer, and it’s important that we put in the work to further the research and get one step closer to finding a cure,” said McIlwain. “It’s been an honor to play a leadership role in the fight against breast cancer this month, and I’m overwhelmed by the encouragement of my network.”

Real Men Wear Pink participants raise awareness and money to support the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer initiatives, including innovative research, patient services and education around screenings and risk reduction. Apart from skin cancers, breast cancer is the most common cancer type in women.
